  1. Sudo add-apt-repository ppa:octave/stable

  2. Sudo apt update

  3. Sudo apt-get install octave

Octaveをインストールするには、インターネット上のほとんどすべての場所で、上記の3つのステップをお勧めします。

しかし このソフトウェアのPPA はUbuntuの古いバージョン（16.04 LTSおよび14.04 LTS）用です。また、明示的に追加する必要はありません。
