aptリポジトリの更新中にUbuntu 64ビットの「ファイル[..] binary-i386 / Packagesを取得できませんでした」エラー
64ビットマシンのUbuntu 12.04 LTSで次の問題が発生します。aptitudeリポジトリを更新しようとすると、i386関連のerrorで更新が不意に失敗します。これは、64ビットシステムでは発生しないはずです。

status-oldを運良く復元しようとしました：
Sudo cp /var/lib/dpkg/status-old /var/lib/dpkg/status
私も試しました：

しかし、有用なことを行ったり報告したりすることはないようです。後続の各apt-get updateはエラーになります。

自分のapt-mirrorサーバーを使用してgit-coreパッケージを更新すると、同じ問題が発生しました。
私の場合、[Arch=AMD64]の元のエントリに/etc/apt/sources.listを追加することで問題を解決しました。
例：
オリジナル：deb http://192.168.111.222/mirror/git-core precise main
解決策：deb [Arch=AMD64] http://192.168.111.222/mirror/git-core precise main

あなたの場合、/etc/apt/sources.list.d/apt-build.listを編集する必要があります。
