apt-getを使用してパッケージをインストールする前にバージョンを確認する方法

私は Debian PCに先月リリースされたhylafax +バージョン5.5.4をインストールすることを考えています。

dpkg -l | grep "hylafax"をチェックすると、現在のバージョンが5.5.3であることがわかりました。次に、apt-cache search hylafaxを確認し、パッケージが使用可能であることを確認しましたが、バージョン番号が表示されません。

apt-getで利用可能なパッケージのバージョンを見つけるにはどうすればよいですか？

apt-cache policy <package name>はバージョンの詳細を表示します。

また、現在インストールされているバージョンとインストール可能なバージョンも表示されます。

たとえば、apt-cache policy hylafax+
