IPMI SMB（I2C SMBus SSIF）をカーネル3.2で動作させる

古いサーバーを1つ手に入れ、IPMIを機能させようとしています。

サーバーボードはSE7520JR2（SE7520JR22S, SE7520JR22.86B.P.08.10.0081.051820051126）

問題はそれです ipmi_smbカーネルリリース2.6.35/36以降、カーネルドライバは存在しません。ipmi_siは[〜＃〜] ssif [〜＃〜]/I2C構成には適していません（modinfoを理解している限り）。

したがって、ipmitoolのようなツールは失敗します（Could not open device at /dev/ipmi0 or /dev/ipmi/0 or /dev/ipmidev/0: No such file or directory）

後のカーネルでSSIFIPMIデバイスのサポートはありますか、それとも何らかの方法で追加できますか？
Debian 7.4を実行しています（3.2.0-4-AMD64 #1 SMP Debian 3.2.54-2 x86_64 GNU/Linux）。
