ページを更新せずにhtmlページ[javascript]からwebserviceメソッドを呼び出す方法

値を返すwebserviceがあります。ここで私の要件は、index.htmlページからwebserviceを呼び出す必要があり、そのページにはhtml送信ボタンがあります。そのボタンをクリックして、JavaScript.を呼び出しています。そこから、Webメソッドを呼び出します。どうすればこれを達成できますか。

私のWebサービスは"localhost/ws/service.asmx";で、WebメソッドはHelloWorldです
