Wordpress検索結果を表示する方法は？

カスタムメイドのテンプレートで検索が機能しない理由を理解するのに多くの時間を費やしました。これまでのところ、ヘッダーにsearchform.phpファイルを含める方法を見つけ出し、現在空のsearch.phpファイルを作成しました（そのため、何かを検索すると、空白ページにリダイレクトされ、間違いなくsearch.phpファイルを使用して動作させる必要があります）、Wordpress codex全体を読みましたが、解決策を見つけることができませんでした。見つけたのは有用な情報だけでした。
