DB内のモデルの存在を確認する方法は？ Yii 1バージョンではそうだったUser::model()->exist()

Yii2では、exists()をクエリチェーンに追加できます。

_User::find()
    ->where( [ 'id' => 1 ] )
    ->exists();

（生成されたSQLは次のようになります：_SELECT 1 FROM `tbl_user` WHERE `id`=1_。）
