ここに x>=0.25 & x<0.5&は ビットごとのAND演算 を実行します（たとえば、1 & 52はゼロであり、False）として扱われますが、両方のx>=0.25andx<0.5はtrueです。

だから、これを行います：

x>=0.25 and x<0.5
