EC2上のUbuntu16.04のovercommit_memoryとTransparentHugePagesでのRedis警告の解決
新しいUbuntu16.04 EC2インスタンスでは、警告は次のように表示されます。
WARNING overcommit_memory is set to 0! Background save may fail under low memory condition. To fix this issue add 'vm.overcommit_memory = 1' to /etc/sysctl.conf and then reboot or run the command 'sysctl vm.overcommit_memory=1' for this to take effect.
WARNING you have Transparent Huge Pages (THP) support enabled in your kernel. This will create latency and memory usage issues with Redis. To fix this issue run the command 'echo never > /sys/kernel/mm/transparent_hugepage/enabled' as root, and add it to your /etc/rc.local in order to retain the setting after a reboot. Redis must be restarted after THP is disabled.
それらを永久に排除する方法は？
警告が示すように、vm.overcommit_memory=1の行を/etc/sysctl.confの下部にSudo vi /etc/sysctl.confのように追加するだけです。
ただし、許可では、警告が示すようにTHPを編集することはできないため、代わりに編集してください。
Sudo apt install hugepages
.bashrcの最後にSudo hugeadm --thp-neverのようなコマンドSudo vi ~/.bashrcを追加します。
次に、Sudo rebootだけで、次にredis-serverを実行してSSHを実行すると、警告が表示されなくなります。
