ubuntuパッケージにpostgresをインストールできない

Ubuntuの公式リポジトリでは、PostgreSQL 9.1のみが利用可能です。それが見つからなかった理由です。

Aptを使用してVPSでPostgreSQL v9.2を取得するには、Ubuntuの公式のPostgreSQL手順に従う必要があります here

リポジトリソースの1つとしてPostgreSQL公式リポジトリを追加することで構成されます

  1. ファイルを作成する/etc/apt/sources.list.d/pgdg.list

  2. この行を挿入deb http://apt.postgresql.org/pub/repos/apt/ precise-pgdg main

  3. リポジトリ署名キーwget --quiet -O - https://www.postgresql.org/media/keys/ACCC4CF8.asc | Sudo apt-key add -をインポートします

  4. リポジトリキャッシュを更新してくださいSudo apt-get update

これで、Sudo apt-get install postgresql-9.2を実行できます

別のオペレーティングシステムにpostgresql-9.2.3を別のリポジトリを使用してインストールできたという事実は関係ありません。

buntuリポジトリ をWebまたはaptを介してクエリすると、quantalに同梱されているバージョンが9.1であることがわかります。

postgresql-9.2.3がquantalで使用できない正確な理由は、リリースされたディストリビューションで凍結されるまでに受け入れられなかったためです。

Ubuntuでpostgresql-9.2.3を使用するには、自分でコンパイルする必要があります。これには、checkinstallまたはfpmを使用してアップストリームリリースをバックポートまたはパッケージ化するなど、いくつかの方法があります。
