Ubuntu 17.10のアップグレード後にVirtualboxが機能しない

17.04から17.10にアップグレードした後、VirtualBoxは起動しません。

$ VBoxManage --version

There were problems setting up VirtualBox.  To re-start the set-up process, run
  /sbin/vboxconfig
as root.
