19.04の新規インストールでH.264を再生するには、Totemでどのコーデックが必要ですか？

Ubuntu 19.04を新しくインストールしましたが、TotemでMP4ビデオを再生できません。必要なデコーダーをインストールするという提案に従っても失敗しました。 H.264（ハイプロファイル）ビデオコーデックとMPEG-4 AACオーディオコーデックを使用するこのビデオファイルを再生するには、どのコーデックをインストールする必要がありますか？

インストール中にボックスにチェックを入れて、サードパーティのグラフィックソフトウェアと追加のメディア形式をインストールしました。

Nautilusから空のFirefoxまたはChromiumタブにドラッグしても問題なくビデオファイルを再生できますが、Totemでは再生できません。

「Find in Ubuntu Software」ボタンをクリックすると、Ubuntu Softwareは「要求されたソフトウェアを見つけることができません」というメッセージを表示します（この最後のビットはおそらくバグですが、気にしないで、手動でインストールするパッケージを知る必要があります）。 。何か提案してください？ 19.04の新規インストールでこのファイルをTotemで再生するにはどうすればよいですか？

編集：さらにトラブルシューティングを行ったところ、TotemがMP4ではなくMKVコンテナー形式の場合、同じファイルを再生することがわかりました。私が使う youtube-dl（リポジトリからではなく最新バージョン）BBC iPlayerビデオをダウンロードします。 --merge-output-format mkvオプションを選択して、ダウンロードしたファイルを再生します。このオプションがないと、再生できないMP4に出力されます。これはOKの回避策ですが、MP4の再生を正確に妨げているものを知り、それを修正したいと思います。
